Indore: Following the protest of Medical Teachers’ Association on blocking the opportunities and promotion of the in-house faculty members, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College have decided not to recruit assistant professors on three seats.
The college has left these three vacant positions for the in-house faculty members who are going to be eligible for the positions in next six months or in a year.
Interviews of assistant professors in the medical college will be started from Friday. According to Dean of MGM Medical College Dr Jyoti Bindal said, the college will be recruiting faculty members on 49 assistant professors, 15 associate professors and 4 professors.
“We have received about 352 applications for the posts in various departments. We are scrutinising the documents and will start the recruitment process soon. Meanwhile, we will start interview process for assistant professor will be started from Friday,’ Dr Bindal said.

Medical Teachers’ Association has decided to cancel the protest against the government over the demand of seventh pay commission as the chief secretary has given an in-principle nod for the same.
