Looking poised to increase voting percentage in the district in Lok Sabha election, the district election office is organising a mass rally on April 8 in the city.  Talking to reporters on Wednesday, additional collector Neha Meena said special efforts are being made for voter awareness by district administration. A huge rally will be organised in this connection on April 8 in which women, men and Divyang voters will participate. Soon, its route will be finalised.

“We are also trying to draw city’s distinguished residents in the rally. Similarly, programmes will be presented for voter awareness by Divyanga voters on April 11 at Krishnapura Chhatri,” she said. Responding to another query, Meena said advertisements of candidates from District Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) were approved after test and its team is also keeping close watch on paid news.

Paid news expenditure will be included in the election expenditure of the candidates. State level advertisements of political parties are monitored by the State Level Media Certification and Monitoring Committee. She said special campaign is being organised for voter awareness in the district under which ‘Chunavi Pathshala’ is being held at polling booths.
