Indore: A 45-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by injecting himself in a toilet at his residence under MIG police station on Friday. It is believed that he was in heavy debt and being harassed by some people for money. Police were further investigating into the matter.
M IG police station incharge Indresh Tripathi said that the deceased has been identified as Pawan Jaiswal, a resident of Nehru Nagar area. He was employed with a medical store at a hospital in Mhow. On Friday, Jaiswal was at home and injected himself in the toilet. The incident came to light when his wife knocked the door of the toilet and found no answer from inside.
Later, the gate of the toilet was broke open where he was found unconscious. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but could not be saved. Tripathi further said that a syringe was recovered from the toilet. “Possibly, he had injected something to commit suicide,” he said. However, police are waiting for autopsy report to know the exact reason of his death.
Police said that he took injection from the store where he was employed. On Saturday, his wife told the police that Pawan was also involved in betting activities and he was being harassed by the people for money as he incurred heavy debt. The police have also launched a search for people who were in his contact.
