Police booked a man for molesting and thrashing a 21-year-old girl in Tukoganj area on Sunday.  According to police, the victim alleged that she was standing at a parking area in the area on Saturday night when accused Deepak Luhar, a resident of Sanwer molested her.  On stopping, the accused thrashed the victim and bit her on the arm. As she raised an alarm and the accused fled the scene. The scared victim reported the incident to police on Sunday. The police are investigating the incident.

In another incident, Police booked a man under POCSO Act and other relevant sections of the IPC for molesting a 17-year-old girl in Banganga area on Sunday.  The victim alleged that accused Ankit Sahu uttered objectionable things to her on March 21, 2019. On stopping him, the accused molested the victim. The scared victim escaped and rushed to her house. The victim then informed her family who reported the incident to police. The police are investigating the incident.
