Offering prayers to Jesus Christ, Christians gathered for the second day of ‘Seventh Bible Mahotsav 2018’ held at St Paul HS School on Monday. The three-day convention is organised annually. It aims at bringing community members together and inculcating prayers in their life.

Addressing the gathering, Archbishop Leo Cornelio SVD from Bhopal said, “We must read Bible and learn more about life and consequences of our actions.” He talked about the importance of unconditional love for life to flourish. “Jesus loved everyone unconditionally and sacrificed his life for people, we must respect people who love us unconditionally like him,” Cornelio said. Highlighting importance of prayers, he urged people to follow principles in bible for leading a blissful life.

“We must respect every life on the planet and lead a life that inspires our generation to come,” Cornelio said. He led the gathering into a prayer by singing spiritual hymns.  Book titled ‘Kaid me Bekasur’ authored by Anto Akkara was also launched during the day. “Kandhamal Christians have produced a finest witness to Jesus in 2000 years of Christianity in India. In Kandhamal nearly 100 Christians embraced martyrdom, 300 Churches along with 600 Christian families plundered and 56000 Christians left homeless,” Akkara introduced the book.

Eucharistic procession and adoration were conducted by Fr John Bhabhor and team. More than three thousand people in and around Indore participated in the programme. The day concluded with prayers and blessings shared among community members. The prayer session and organisation was led by Fr Bobby Thomas and his team on the second day.
