Indore: IMC to inspect all high rise buildings in 15 days

Indore: Two days after Surat incident, Indore municipal commissioner Asheesh Singh on Sunday instructed all building officers and inspectors to conduct spot verification of all buildings having height of 12.5 metres or above and submit their reports within 15 days. He also issued a check list directing the officers to establish whether the fire guidelines are being followed.  Singh directed officers to issue notice to building owner/operator if fire control equipment are not found in the building. Seven days will be given to the building owner/operator to install equipment.  Building officers and buildings inspectors have also been directed to ensure that verification at the buildings are done periodically else action will be initiated against them.
