Indore: Couple on motorcycle pushed down by bike-borne miscreants, robbed of bag

Indore: Two motorcycle-borne miscreants looted a couple moving on a motorcycle in broad daylight near hotel Radisson Blu square in Vijay Nagar area on Tuesday after kicking them down from their vehicle. The couple received seriously injuries and rushed to hospital.

According to police, the incident occurred around 4 pm, when mandi potato trader Ajay Chaudhari (47) and his wife Sulekha, residents of Kaushlyapuri, were going to Mangliya on their motorcycle. Two persons on a motorcycle overtook them and snatched hand bag from Sulekha’s hand. Sulekha tried to resist their attempt, but failed. Before fleeing the spot, the miscreants kicked down Chaudhari’s vehicle along with the couple. Sulekha’s bag contained only Rs 500 cash and a mobile phone.

Ajay’s younger brother Praveen informed that after the incident, the miscreants succeeded to flee towards Vijay Nagar area. Praveen said that after the incident, his brother called him on mobile phone, he immediately reached at Vijay Nagar police station, from there both were rushed to a hospital.

Vijay Nagar police station in-charge Prashant Yadav informed that police are examining the footages of nearby CCTV cameras to get some clues about the miscreants.
