Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Congress mayoral candidate Sanjay Shukla on Friday went to the Chippabakhal area where he interacted with the residents during his campaigning.

He said, “Now all senior BJP leaders are trying to become the face of their unknown candidate.”

Directly questioning the leader who has taken charge of the election campaign, Shukla said, “they (the leaders) should tell the people of the city what happened during the previous council of the municipal corporation where 17 corporators who were supporting the leader boycotted the municipal corporation. These corporators do not attend the meeting of the corporation and they have also stopped participating in the programmes of the corporation.”

He said that the same corporators have been given tickets to contest this time also, but they should explain to the people why they boycotted the previous council meetings.
