Q & A: Aictsl CEO

‘We will evaluate’ Sandeep Soni, chief executive officer of Atal Indore City Transport Service Limited (AiCTSL) that manages ibuses, talked to Free Press about the incident. Excerpts. What was possible cause of incident? First of all, I want to make it clear that there was no fire. The cause for smoke is overheating, possibly.

Our team and technical team of Corona are checking the bus. We might come to know the reason tonight or by Thursday.
ibus are of Tata and Corona company. Previous incidents of such nature were reported in Corona buses only. Comment Yes, you are right in saying that. We are trying to evaluate these buses.

Was it not mere luck that smoke was seen early, otherwise it could have led to fire? I am not a technical person but overheating does not lead to fires. It would have chocked the engine. What steps will be taken to reduce risking lives in Corona buses? We will evaluate. I assure you that an appropriate action will be taken.
