Indore: 3 bikers rob couple on Kanadiya Road

Indore: A couple was robbed of a wallet by three bike-borne persons near Kanadiya Bridge on Thursday night. One of the accused also stabbed him before robbing them and fled after threatening them. The victims raised an alarm when some people reached there but the robbers could not be arrested .

The incident took place on Bypass Road at 11.30 pm. Dewas resident Jay Rathore stays in Manawta Nagar in city. He and his wife were on way home when accused stopped them. They demanded to part with valuables. As Jay opposed them, the accused attacked on his leg and snatched his wallet containing Rs 3,000.

Couple cried for help when passers-by stopped and informed the police. After Jay’s treatment, police registered a case against unknown people. The CCTVs installed on Kanadiya Road and other places are being examined to trace the accused. Jay told police that he had gone to Bhopal for some work. He alighted from a bus on Bypass where his wife came to receive him. They were returning home when the incident happened.
