Indore : The Urban Administration and Environment Department ( UAD) has chalked out the programme of IMC election, which will be rolled out just after the issuing the notifications from the state government. The Governor has already signed the notification.
According to sources the UAD has sent a tentative schedule of the pre election process to the District Returning officer and Collector of Indore. The district administration was waiting for the publication of the notification on Thursday.
Sources said notification’s publication is broadly expected on Friday, after which, the election process would be rolled out.
The process involves delimitation of the wards, which would be carried out by collector. The collector would read the first publication of delimitation and would invite the claims and objections on it, which would be settled by the revenue Commissioner.
The final publication of ward delimitation would be conducted by the state government. The state government will have to immediately inform to the state election commission, as well.
The role of State Election Commission will start after this, which will roll out the schedule of prepration of voter roll as per the formation of new wards. As per the population of the wards they will be reserved for the post of corporaters by the collector. At last the election commission would declare the polling programme of IMC election.
