Indore : Sidelining A2Z, an agency responsible for lifting garbage in the city, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) is planning to lift garbage from hotels, hospitals and marriage gardens on its own. Earlier, all these locations were managed by the agency. But, the IMC is now chalking out plans to take charge of this area as well.

“We are in the process of lifting garbage from hotels, hospitals and marriage gardens on a daily basis. The IMC would soon take charge and A2Z would be given some other tasks,” said in-charge of the solid waste management system, Rajendra Rathore.
He said: “We need at least 4 to 5 vehicles to lift garbage from these locations.”

Rathore further said that the IMC would need a few weeks to implement the plans. At present, A2Z is lifting garbage from these places. He also said that the agreement with A2Z will come to an end soon. Sources said that the current move was the result of negligent attitude of the A2Z. It is also said that the A2Z is collecting from the hotels and other such locations to lift the garbage. The IMC is planning to sideline the company ever since it found the practice.
