From July 15, Indoreans can fly directly to Dubai with AI

Indore: Following the clearing of decks for operating international flight from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport, the first flight will start operation from July 15 by Air India.

As per the initial schedule, the national carrier will operate the flight three days in a week to and fro.The bookings of ticket also started from Monday morning. The opening fare of the return journey for economy class is approximately Rs 26,800 and business class is Rs 49,000.

Offering the title of “International Airport” to Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport by approving the establishment of Immigration Facility through a Gazette notification issued on May 26, it was awaited from Air India to announce the date of rolling out its flight for Dubai.

The national carrier was planning to roll out the flight from the city before the Lok Sabha Elections.

Talking to Free Press on Monday, Vikas Shah, AGM and Station Manager, Air India, informed that the airlines will roll out the flight operation from July 15. As per the initial schedule, the service will be thrice in a week from both sides.

As per the schedule available on Monday, the flight will operate from the city on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, while from Dubai on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Some modification may take place in days to come.
