Ratlam: The flying squad team set up at district election office on Monday seized Rs 89,000 from a person who was going on a motorcycle in Bhaktan ki Bawdi area. On being caught, he said he is resident of Akya Jagir in Khachrod and had come to city to make payment to traders from whom he had purchased goods earlier. Meanwhile, the joint meeting of revenue and police officials was held here on Sunday.

District election officer Ruchika Chauhan asked SST and FST teams to work round the clock to check the movement of unaccounted money, and movement of anti-social elements. She also directed respective SDMs to undertake surprise inspection of working of SST and FST teams. Police and revenue officials have asked for final report of actions taken by April 15. She also directed to keep close vigil on the inter-state and inter-district check posts round the clock.
