These were some of the questions were asked by students of a school on Friday during an interaction with DSP (Traffic) Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi.
About 450 students of Teerathbai Kalachand School had an interaction with DSP (Traffic) Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi on Friday. The DSP made a presentation on traffic rules and then explained the importance of their enforcement. After the presentation, a Q&A session began and students barraged the DSP with questions. What is No Parking Zone and what action police take against the violators?
No Parking Zone is an area where no vehicles are allowed to park and the vehicles parked in such zones are towed away and owners are booked. Sometime photographs of the vehicle are taken and e-challans are issued to the owners. Citizens can download Citizen Cop App and help the police.
Why no action is taken against policemen?
Action is taken against cops too and some 400 policemen have challaned for various traffic violations within last few days.
Q: What action is taken against red light violators?
A: Red light violation is a serious offence and results in accidents, leading to death in many instances. Recently the police have installed cameras at a number of major crossings and e-challans are sent to owners of the vehicles via RLVD system.
