Indore: The DGCI has unearthed tax evasion of Rs 5 crore of a company based in Indore and Bhopal, during a survey conducted by the department recently. The company surrendered Rs 70 lakh immediately and presented a PDC to the department. It is to be noted that the DGCI raided offices and factory of Advance Crop Care and conducted a survey there.
During the activity, it was found that the company has conducted business of Rs 125 crore in three years but didn’t pay the tax yet. According to sources, the company belongs to family of a former MLA of Rajgarh, Harinarayan Tiwari.
The DGCI also conducted survey on Modi Agrotech and Go Safe, pesticides manufacturer and unearthed the tax evasion of Rs 1 crore from both the companies. Both the companies have surrendered Rs 50 lakh and rest would be paid soon.
