Dewas: One died, 5 injured due to lightning near Hatpipliya

Dewas District Congress rural president Ashok Patel reached the hospital to inquire about health of injured.

Hatpipliya (Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh): One person died while 5 others were injured due to lightning in Barkheda Lad village near Hatpipliya. Manohar Sendhav 55, resident of Baranpur in Sonkatch tehsil died and five persons were injured.

Manohar Singh Sendhav from Barkheda Lad was brought to Government Hospital in Hatpipliya at 7.30 pm on Monday where Dr Jeevan Yadav confirmed his death. Among the injured, one was sent to the government hospital and 3 to Masih Hospital while another person with minor injuries was discharged after receiving first aid.

Last week, Thakur Singh got married in Barkheda Lad. On Monday, his wife’s relatives visited village to take her home. While the guests were being sent off at 6.30 pm on Monday, Manohar Singh Sendhav, the girl's uncle, died as he was struck by lightning. His son Rahul, 24, was injured too. Fateh Singh Sendhav, 65, of the same village, Sobhal Singh, 50, Daulat Singh Sendhav, 65 and Thakur Singh, 21 were also injured.
