Indore : CREDAI, Indore members took out a rally on Tuesday from Gandhi Hall which culminated at the Commissioner’s Office after passing through MTH Compound. A memorandum was handed over to Commissioner Sanjay Dube who assured them of adequate action.
Following the suicide of a well known builder and developer of Thane, Maharashtra on October 7, the rally was organised to pay homage to the departed soul as well as raise issues related to the real estate sector in the state.
It may be recalled that Suraj Parmar, owner of Cosmos group a well known builder and developer of real estate in Thane, Maharashtra and chairman of Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry, Thane Chapter committed suicide on October 7.
A note was found on his person in which Parmar stated that he was ending his life because of delays in building permissions, cancelation of projects by the government, political interference, delay in forming policy by the government, arbitrary interpretation of rules by government officials, new rules and their retrospective implementation etc.
On Tuesday members of CREDAI, builders, workers and employees of builders, gathered at Gandhi Hall and took out a rally. The rally culminated at Commissioner’s Office after passing through MTH Compound.
According to Nitin Mehta, Chairman of CREDAI and Gopal Goyal, a memorandum was handed over to Commissioner Sanjay Dube who assured the CREDAI members serious consideration of their demands and appropriate action. CREDAI members also shut down work on Tuesday.
