Indore : Vijay Nagar Police arrested two college students in connection with loots at two petrol pumps in the city. The two accused took to crime to fund their luxurious lifestyle. The accused are being questioned and police hopes to solve some more unsolved loots which took at the petrol pump in the past.

Addressing the media on Friday, SP (East) OP Tripathi said that two motorcycle borne miscreants had looted Rs 19000 from the cashier of a petrol pump located opposite Sayaji Hotel on December 17. The miscreants were riding a white Karizma motorcycle.

Three teams were constituted to solve the loot. One sifted through CCTV footage while the remaining two searched through two possible roads of the escape. The CCTV footage showed one miscreant with face covered with cloth while other was wearing a cap, thus making absolute identification impossible.

The investigators concentrated on the white Karizma motorcycle when they got a tip off that a youth matching the description was riding a white Karizma motorcycle in Pardesipura area. The youth was spotted and was taken under surveillance. After being convinced that he was the suspect the police took him into custody and began questioning him.

Initially the youth, identified as Yash Vinayak alias Rohit and resident of Nanda Nagar, tried to bluff his way out but later broke under sustained questioning and named his accomplice Karan alias Kunal and admitted to the loot. Yash is B.Com IIIrd year student while Karan is BA IInd year student. The two accused took to crime to fund their luxurious lifestyle.

Jawahar Marg loot solved as well

Later the duo admitted looting another petrol pump located on Jawahar Marg on December 9 using the same motorcycle. The motorcycle belonged to their friend who had mortgaged it to them for money. The police are trying to locate the said friend and question him as well.
