Indore : IT savvy District Collector P Narahari has revamped Jan Sunwai and made it online. In the new system, an applicant can watch updates online and also able to get the SMS. There will be effort to resolve grievances of the applicants within 10 days.
It was maiden Jan Sunwai of the new Collector, who took charge recently and it was also expected that he would revamp the present system of Jan Sunwai and make it IT-enabled so that it can be made transparent and applicants can monitor the status of their applications online.
Two new changes were made in Jan Sunwai. From now on, every application will be screened and only proper applications would be accepted.
The applications will be graded A,B,C and D as per the subject matter. The collector himself will hear ‘A’ grade applications only while ‘B’ and ‘C’ grade applications will be heard by ADMs Dilip Kumar and Sudhir Kocher. ‘D’ grade applications will be heard by the HoDs and SDMs.
Screening of application
After hearing the application, it will be scanned and uploaded in the website www.uttara.nic.in. Through the website, an applicant can watch the status of his/her application. The applications will be sent from one department to another through e-mail. After registration, the applicant will get SMS of confirmation.

Talking to Free Press, Collector P Narahari said: We have revamped Jan Sunwai and made it e-Jan Sunwai. We are hoping that it will reduce time and help in giving result in 8 to 10 days.
