BURHANPUR : For the successful implementation of beneficiary and employment oriented welfare schemes, a review meeting chaired by collector JP Irene Cynthia was organised, recently.

Reportedly, the collector directed the Industry Department to approve all the cent-percent cases of the taxes while instructing the officials to ensure that the distribution be started by November.

Paying heed to the Hathkargha industry, the collector instructed the deputy-director to approve the pending cases so that the distribution could be initiated. The bank managers were also directed to ensure the proceeding by the department is completed.

It is reported that the labour department was also directed to provide hundred percent benefits to beneficiaries of the schemes running for pregnant women. Notably, the Anganwadi workers were directed to raise awareness among the beneficiaries about the welfare schemes through hoardings and banners. Furthermore, she ordered the officers to present the strategy chalked out for implementation of the schemes at the workshop to be organised by Women and Child Development Department (WCDD) on November 15. During the review meeting, Zila panchayat CEO Basant Kurre, industry manager RS Thakur were present along with other officials.

Collector reviews construction works

The ongoing constructions under various departments operating in the district were reviewed by collector JP Irene here at the collectorate meeting hall on Sunday. She directed the officials and workers of the concerned departments for completion of the constructions within the given time limit.

Reportedly, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the city was directed to speed up the ongoing construction of Anganwadi buildings. The workers of the concerned departments were also directed to update the details of the beneficiaries who received toilets facility under the scheme, on the web portal of the department, while giving a deadline of three-days to the workers for completion of pending works related to the scheme.

Similarly, she also directed LDM to ensure that the pre-decided target is achieved by the banks while reviewing Indira and Chief Minister Housing Schemes. During the meeting, Zila Panchayat (CEO) Basant Kure was present along with the sub-engineers and other prominent officers.
