Indore : Scolded by father in a drunken stupor, a 12-year-old boy committed suicide by consuming pesticide in Alwasa village near here on late Monday night.Gyanu had returned home after grazing cattle, when he saw his father, Tulsiram, under influence of alcohol, throwing abuses at his mother over food prepared by her, Banganga police said.
Tulsiram manhandled Gyanu’s mother and asked her to prepare dinner again. When Gyanu intervened, he scolded the boy and pushed him out of the house, police added. Depressed over his father’s addiction and regular harassment, Gyanu reached at the farm where he noticed a bottle containing pesticide and consumed it.
The boy lay unconscious in the farm, till some passerby noticed him and rushed to MY Hospital. He died during treatment.Acting under Section 174 of CrPC and police were investigating and in the process of handing over the issue to the concerned SDM.
Youth hangs self over unknown reason A 22 years old youth ended his life by hanging self to the ceiling of his house in Pardeshipura area on Monday night. Sumit Varma, a resident of Sarvhara Nagar committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. The family members rushed him to MY Hospital, but he was declared brought dead.
Family of the deceased is in a state of shock and unable to tell police the reason behind his extreme step. No suicide note was recovered from his possession. A case was registered at Pardeshipura police station and further investigation is on.
