Indore : A removal team of Indore Municipal Corporation and district administration demolished as many as 87 encroachments on the MGM Medical College campus on the first day of the drive against encroachment removal on Thursday.
Illegal constructions of those who have shifted to the scheme of IDA were removed from the campus. The drive will continue after shifting the remaining encroachers to other places. Building officer of MGM Medical College Dr Sanjay Dixit said that in the second phase, they would remove encroachments of KEM Ground and encroachments near the mortuary during the third phase.
During the drive, a family showed the papers of 30 years lease after which the officials cancelled the lease immediately and demolished the construction.
