Indore : A 12-year-old girl set herself on fire on Sunday in MG Road area. She has been admitted to the burn unit of MY Hospital in a critical condition. In a note and in-camera statement, she blamed neighbours for her suicide bid.
According to MG Road police, the incident occurred in Mewati Colony. The girl poured kerosene over her and set herself afire. She was admitted to MY Hospital with serious burns.
In her statement, she blamed her neighbours for tarnishing her image which led her to take extreme step. Sources said that the girl, a student of Class VII, left a note in which she named Shakir Patangwala, Reshma, Rani, Gouri, Salma, Baba and Shakila and two others.
The police have registered a case and are investigating while most of the named persons are reportedly absconding.
