Indore : A speeding dumper hit an auto-rickshaw carrying adults and children, on their way to Ujjaini for a picnic, killing one and injuring others. After the accident, the dumper driver fled the scene. Police have registered a case, seized the truck.
According to the police, the accident occurred near Jamaniya village on Nemawar Road on Sunday afternoon. Rohit (20), Brijesh (15), Rahul (20), Ajay (10), Ankit (12) and Raj (9), all residents of Shankarganj, were on their way to Ujjaini for a picnic in an auto-rickshaw.
As their rickshaw reached Jamaniya village, a speeding dumper hit their rickshaw making it overturned. The driver fled the spot leaving behind the dumper. Local people rushed the victims to MY Hospital where Raj (9) succumbed to his injuries.
