As elections are around the corner, surveys have been conducted by many on the question that PM Narendra Modi should be titled the PM throne again or not? FPJ decodes the three major surveys, what they predict and highlight.

From November 2017 to January 2018, Firstpost conducted their first national survey on the liking of PM Narendra Modi being the PM again where 52.8% people approved for it, which was two times more than the votes given to Rahul Gandhi and this has been constant in their latest survey as well.

The National Trust Survey conducted by the Firstpost this year concluded that 31, 621 people voted from 2nd to 22nd March as it was conducted across 287 urban wards and 582 villages from 62 regions. Covering 334 parliamentary constituencies from 329 districts, 30 states and union territories of India. 95% of people are in the favour of PM Narendra Modi more than they are of the Bhartiya Janata Party as per the survey.

The survey also highlighted that Modi is more famous than Bhartiya Janata Party is in West Bengal and Odisha and BJP’s seat share may go up in eastern states as the election is sensed to be won by Narendra Modi.

The CSDS- Lokniti 2019 poll survey on the same lines was conducted in March 2019 which indicated that Modi’s popularity has seen a hike of 9% from last year. The survey foresees Modi’s popularity to be increasing gradually since the last year.
Rise in people who support Modi, as they believe that the economy of the nation has now become better after the Demonetization act.

Times Now being the third one to conduct a survey from 22nd March to 4th April 2019 had 14,300 people responding to it. It predicts that NDA will return with approximately 279 seats out of 543 in the Lok Sabha Elections of 2019. 149 seats are projected for Congress-led UPA, while parties not aligned to BJP and Congress seem to have the potential of 115 seats.

However, these projections come with a lot of disclaimers as they are mere surveys. Many Modi critics seem to not be in favour of these surveys as it has nothing to d with anti-Modi talks or predictions. People are keen on giving the title of PM to Narendra Modi once again and let him build the foundation of our country. But the final conclusion stays hanging until the Lok Sabha Elections actually take place.
