While most of the Member of Parliaments (MP) are busy debating in the Lok Sabha, one of the BJP's Gujarat MP Mansukh Mandaviya has stolen all the spotlight by making an entry on his bicycle. In a video shared by news agency ANI, in which it can be seen that Mandaviya arrives in Parliament riding a bicycle, while a car follows him. While it is an eco-friendly gesture, Twitterati trolled him over the car that was following his bicycle.
When he was asked by reporters whether he would go to the oath-taking ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on a cycle, Mandaviya had replied that he has always cycled to the Parliament and that for him it’s a passion, not fashion. Mandaviya had said that "For me, it is not a fashion to go on a bicycle, it is my passion. I had always gone to Parliament on a bicycle." He explained why. "It is eco-friendly, it saves fuel and keeps you physically healthy."
Mansukh Mandaviya is a cabinet minister in Narendra Modi-led government. He is Minister of State for Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Ministry of Shipping and Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. The politician from Bhavnagar district in Gujarat describes himself as a businessman, agriculturist, political and social worker.
