Lucknow: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has said that her party will not form alliance with anyone in the coming Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand assembly election. Setting aside the rumors of possible alliance of BSP with the All India Muslim Ittehadul Amin (AIMIM), Maya on Sunday said that her party has so far decided to have pre poll tie up in Punjab only. In other states like UP and UK, BSP would go alone in the assembly polls. It may be mentioned that rumors were on the rife about BSP-AIMIM alliance in the coming UP assembly polls.

To keep media updated about the latest happenings in her party Mayawati has appointed her trusted lieutenant and national General Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra as the in charge of media cell. She has asked media to at least contact Mishra before writing anything about BSP. Recently BSP has forged an alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in Punjab. BSP would contest 20 assembly seats in Punjab while SAD will field its candidates on rest of the seats.

Besides Maya has also started an exercise of bringing back old cadre of BSP to the party fold in UP. In the recent past a large number of old loyalists of BSP have left party and joined others. The coordinators of BSP have been asked to identify such people and convince them to return to the party fold. Maya had recently expelled leader of BLP legislators in state assembly Lalji Verma from party on the charges of indiscipline.
