Issuing a notice, the Russian foreign ministry said on Tuesday that it has banned US first lady Jill Biden, wife of President Joe Biden, his daughter and 23 other US citizens from Russia.
25 Americans are added to a 'stop list', it said.
"As a reaction to the constantly expanding US sanctions against Russian political and public figures, 25 American citizens are added to a 'stop list,'" the ministry said in a note accompanying the list.
The list includes several US senators, including Susan Collins of Maine, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Charles Grassley of Iowa, and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, according to an AFP report.
The list also features, several university professors and researchers and former US government officials.
