Balasore (Odisha): Three persons were killed and 30 others injured when a passenger bus carrying them overturned in Balasore district today.
The bus from Balasore carrying over 60 passengers was on its way to Langaleswar when it skidded off the road and fell into a ditch near Jamsuli, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Basta) Gobind Sethy said.
One of the three deacesed was identified as conductor of the bus, Babuli Patra (45), while two others, including a woman, were yet to be identified.
While 18 injured persons were admitted to a hospital at Baliapal, eight others were taken to Basta hospital. The rest were discharged after preliminary treatment, he said.
