Etawah (UP): Seven persons were killed and one injured when a truck hit their car in Civil Lines area here, police said today.
The car carrying the victims was hit by the truck in Ashok Nagar late last night, ASP Sarvanand said.
The truck driver fled the spot leaving the vehicle, he said.
The deceased have been identified as Resham Pal (45), Pravesh Kumar (25), Veer Singh (50), Dinesh Kumar (25), Mukesh Kumar (23), Rakesh (40) and Yogendra Singh (18).
The injured has been admitted to hospital.
