Jaipur: After more than a week-long political drama of statements and counter statements in Rajasthan Congress, now the party has come up with a sort of clarification and balancing act.

In charge general secretor of the party in Rajasthan, Ajay Makan, has said that Sachin Pilot is a star campaigner and an asset to the party, while at the same time he taught a lesson of discipline to the MLAs who are giving open statements against the Ashok Gehlot government.

Talking to media in Delhi today, Ajay Makan has discarded the reports of not given time to Sachin Pilot by party high command during his recent visit to Delhi. "Sachin is a senior leader of the party. He is an asset to the party and it is impossible that he sought time to meet to any leader and won’t get the same", he said.

He said that Priyanka Gandhi is not in Delhi for ten days and everybody knows about it, hence she could not meet Sachin but she is constantly in touch with him.

While clarifying the status of Sachin Pilot in the party, he said, Pilot also taught a lesson to the MLAs who were openly criticizing the government.

While answering the question of cabinet expansion and political appointments he said, "we are working on this and party MLAs should understand that discipline will play an important role at the time of appointments, so they should not say anything in public but on the platform".

Sources in the party say that Makan’s statement is a clear indication that the party cannot afford to lose one more young leader of the party, so the party has clarified the situation on the narrative which was made after Sachin’s much-hyped Delhi visit, but at the same time party has given a message to dissidents that party is concerned about them, but they have to follow the discipline of the party.
