New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit France from February 10 to 12, 2025, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. During this visit, PM Modi will co-chair the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit alongside President Macron and other global leaders including the US Vice President and the Vice Prime Minister of China on February 11 in Paris.
The AI Summit is a part of the Paris Peace Forum and it aims to promote a sustainable, ethical and inclusive approach to AI development and deployment.
About Al Action Summit
The summit aims to address the development and deployment of AI technologies in a trustworthy, humane, and safe manner. Discussions will focus on AI governance, ensuring inclusivity, and promoting international collaboration in the AI revolution. Following the summit, PM Modi and President Macron will address the India-France CEOs Forum in Marseille.
This platform will facilitate discussions between business leaders from both nations, aiming to strengthen economic and technological partnerships. PM Modi will also engage in talks with top CEOs of French companies. The PM will also visit Marseille on February 12 along with Macron to inaugurate the new Indian consulate. After that, the leaders will also visit the war cemetery and pay tributes to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War 1.

Visit to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor
PM Modi and President Macron will also tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) site in Saint-Paul-les-Durance. India is a significant partner in this high-profile scientific project, which focuses on advancing nuclear fusion research. This visit underscores the deepening strategic partnership between India and France, emphasizing collaboration in technology, business, and scientific research.
