New Delhi : The Congress party is obviously relishing the on-going war of words in the Bharatiya Janata Party after the massive reversal in the Bihar state assembly elections. Commenting on these developments, party general secretary Shakeel Ahmed, who hails from Bihar, said that the ”margdarshak mandal,” which was usually known as the ”mook-darshak mandal” (silent board), which had been side lined by the saffron party, has finally decided to assert itself. “It is known to all that there is internal conflict within the Bharatiya Janata Party. The senior leaders have been sidelined, there is supremacy of only one man i.e. Narendra Modi ji. Amit Shah, who has never headed a state, is now head of the party. But this is the internal matter of the BJP and we don’t have anything to say on this,” said Ahmed.

Another party spokesperson Manish Tewari also taunted the ruling party and said the elderly distinguished gentlemen have actually lit the crackers after putting these in a very special place in the BJP. “In the BJP there is a ”shah” and there is a ”tanashah” and, therefore, the elderly gentlemen are desperately searching for their youth. So, there is a new variant of the Ramlila which has started off in the BJP around Diwali,” he said. Commenting on the revolt by the elders in the BJP, senior general secretary Digvijaya Singh called upon the RSS sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat to clarify his position. ‘‘Will you pay any attention to the views expressed by the marga darshak mandal, now that your high hopes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been dashed,” said Singh. These internal rumblings within the BJP have not only provided the Congress with an opportunity to have a go at it, but would also add fire power to its attack in Parliament on the issue of intolerance and the atmosphere for hate and fear in the country due to the acrimonious nature of the political discourse.
