Meerut: In a shocking incident, a youth named Vinay Jatav was kidnapped at gunpoint and brutally assaulted in the jungle of Bajaut village. The attackers mercilessly hit him with bricks until he was left half-dead. The incident has sparked outrage, especially as it occurred on the same day the Chief Minister is visiting Meerut, raising concerns over law and order in the region.
A video of the gruesome attack has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread condemnation.
In response, Meerut police issued a statement on X, clarifying that both parties involved belong to the same caste and that the assault was the result of an old enmity.
Authorities have assured prompt action, stating that a case has been registered based on the complaint. The police managed to arrested two accused in connection with the matter. Meanwhile, a manhunt operation has been launched to nab the third accused.
Meanwhile, the victim’s condition remains critical, and his family is seeking justice for the brutality inflicted upon him.
