Pathnamthitta (Kerela): A leakage in the Butterfly valve of the Sabarigiri Hydro Electric project, the second biggest hydel plant in Kerala, has been detected late night. It will take at least five days to repair the No 2 Penstock valve installed last year, KSEB sources told PTI. Technicians from Chennai are expected to reach here by tonight, the sources said.  The total installed capacity of the Sabairigi plant is 335 mw. To rectify the leakage, the power house of the Sabarigiri hydel plant at Moozhiyur in Pathnamthitta district, will have to be shutdown, which will result in a deficit of about 300 mw of power. Due to the power deficit, there is likely to be power restrictions in the state.
