Unable to deal with the constant and frequent fights of his wives, a Delhi man allegedly murdered them and fled with his 13-year-old son to his native village in Araria, Bihar.
The 35-year old labourer Jamshed Alam lived in a rented room with his two wives - Ismeet Parveen (34) and Jabeena (45) in Southeast Delhi's Jaitpur. While confessing to his crime after he was arrested by police, he said that he was fed up with the constant and frequent fights between his two wives, and last Thursday when he tried to calm them down, he was assaulted by Parveen. In a rage, he pinned her down with legs tied with a chunni and strangled her to death.
When the older wife, Jabeena saw this horrifying incident, he tried to appease her. But she raised an alarm due to which he killed her too. After this, he packed all his belongings and fled with his son who was playing outside with him to Araria in Bihar.
The incident was reported by the residents of the building in which Alam lived when they complained of foul smell from his room. The police then broke the locked door and found the dead bodies of the two women.
Alam was arrested in Delhi while he was heading to his relative's house in Bara Hindu Rao.
