Lucknow's walls have become the latest battleground in Uttar Pradesh's political rivalry, with BJP's Minority Morcha plastering provocative posters targeting SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

The posters, appearing across major intersections, question Yadav's political lineage, stating: "Those who expelled their own father from the party should get their DNA tested first."

This counterattack follows SP's social media posts questioning Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak's political origins. The BJP posters specifically reference Yadav's 2017 ouster of father Mulayam Singh Yadav from party control, which culminated in an Election Commission battle and cousin Shivpal Yadav forming a separate party.  Mohammad Jeeshan Khan, BJP Minority Morcha state secretary, orchestrated the poster campaign. "When someone questions Pathak ji's DNA, they forget their own history of expelling family members," Khan stated, alluding to SP's internal conflicts.

The DNA controversy began when SP's media cell insinuated Pathak's questionable political roots, prompting sharp reactions from both sides. Pathak retaliated by questioning SP's "anti-women mentality," while Yadav advised Pathak to "study socialism properly."

Political analysts note this exchange signals the start of an aggressive campaign season ahead of 2027 state elections. With BJP leveraging SP's past family discord and SP attacking turncoat politicians, the DNA metaphor has become central to UP's political discourse.

Both parties have mobilized their social media armies, suggesting this war of words will intensify in coming months.
