Mumbai: As the assembly elections in Maharashtra are just 5 days away, the opinion poll surveys have predicted a win-win situation for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Maharashtra with total 288 assembly seats and Haryana with total 90 assembly seats, will go to assembly polls on October 15, Thursday and the counting of votes will take place on October 19, Sunday.
According to a poll survey conducted by Cicero for the India Today group, BJP may win 133 of the 288 seats in Maharashtra, with vote share of 30%.
In 2009, BJP just managed to win 46 seats with 14% vote-share.
However, the survey also predicted that in case, if BJP gets 125 seats, then it will have to go back to its former ally Shiv Sena or may even have to reach out to Sharad Pawar-led NCP.
