New Delhi: The BJP on Tuesday trashed the Congress charge of Prime Minister Modi allegedly giving false information on his Gandhinagar plot of land, claiming that is “his only asset”.
On the official records not reflecting any plot No 401/A, the BJP asserted that there is no mystery. “There is a limit to trivalisation. Four plots purchsed by four different persons were amalgamated into one on April 25, 2008. Obviously, the number of the amalgamated plot is different from the separate individual numbers,” the party said in a note circulated to the media.
The note is silent on Modi owning another plot as per his 2007 affidavit and instead prefaces it with “some facts about Modi’s income and expenditure” and the claim that the false allegations against him are by “the man behind this all is Namdar himself who is out on bail in a case of fraud.” The reference is to Rahul Gandhi.
