Amit Sadh is a dedicated soul, but how he ventured into acting is a different story all together. From always wanting to be a part of the army to acting now is a story in itself.
“I don’t know it just happened by default ya. I decided I wanted to be an actor and I just picked my bags and came to Mumbai. It was a very impulsive decision; I was not ready for it. But I have taken impulsive decisions like this some have worked in my favour and some have fallen in my face plenty of times but eventually I got to where I wanted to.I was 20, I was a child. I came here and just threw myself into this ocean of madness. But ya, that’s an afterthought. Then I had my friends who mocked me and said that you can’t do it.”
But what about inspiration, who inspires this boy…? “I find inspiration in a lot of people. In acting it’s Amitabh Bachchan. He’s everyone’s inspiration. If he’s not your inspiration then you can never be inspired. I mean that man is something who inspires you. Just by watching him you get better. In india, Irrfan Khan. I find VidyaBalan very inspirational how she has stuck to her conviction as an actor and how she goes about it. But other than that there are so many people I get inspired from. I keep getting inspired.”
While a lot of people love the fancy perks of being an actor, Amit is content in the little things that this profession offers which happens to be learning. Its learning. “You’re continuously learning. That is for what I am here. Apart from that everything else is a by-product, appreciation, fame, money. It’s not that I don’t want all that but I am not headed for that. I definitely know that it is the by-product so I am not going to focus on that. I am going to focus on my work and the rest will follow.”
