It’s not every day that one gets a chance to see legends meet. This special occasion was witnessed on the sets of Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’ in Kolkata recently. Sourav Ganguly was accompanied by his wife Dona Ganguly. Both self-confessed Bachchan fans were delighted for a chance to interact with the megastar.
It’s being said that Sourav Ganguly wished to meet his favourite star as soon as he knew the actor was in the city for the film’s shoot. Having met on several occasions earlier too, the couple couldn’t contain their enthusiasm during the visit.According to a member of the unit, “The couple was very glad to have met their favourite star. They had a great time together speaking about his character and the movie. Amit ji played a perfect host for Sourav and Dona and also interacted briefly with the film crew.”
Meanwhile, It’s time for Amitabh Bachchan to say goodbye to Kolkata, where he was shooting for ‘Piku’. Buzz is that the megastar is now headed to Goa to attend the 45th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) where he will grace the opening ceremony of the event, which will start on Thursday. Sharing the news, Big B wrote on the micro blogging site Twitter, “The days of shoot come to an end in Kolkata for ‘Piku’”…now to IFFI in Goa for the inaugural, then Delhi and Gujarat for shoot !.”
And looks like the megastar has a packed schedule as he further tweeted, “In serious packing formalities and travel…will restrict my comments and responses… love to all!!” the plays year old actor plays the role of a father to actress Deepika Padukone in the film, which is scheduled to hit the screens on April 30 next year.
