The gorgeous Nimrat Kaur is a girl in no hurry. More than a year post the release of the much-feted ‘The Lunchbox’, and she has signed only one Bollywood film so far – ‘Airlift’. Why?! She giggles and apologises for the disappointment, pointing out that things are taking time.
Besides, this is just the way life is with her, she points out, a pattern that she herself sometimes fails to understand. However, she prefers to take a philosophical attitude, believing that when something doesn’t happen, there’s a bigger reason behind it.
Things have taken their time coming but the Kaur beauty appears to be perfectly okay with it. She points out that while ‘Lunchbox’ was her first film, she has been working a long time, doing several other things, including ads and theatre. It helps that for her, it’s never about the money. What matters is that she is in a satisfying place, immaterial of whether things are going in her favour or not.
Nimrat points out that she has always been ahead of her times, a quality that she goes so far as to call her USP. It shows itself in the fact that she isn’t grabbing at roles which so-called younger contemporaries are. She is perfectly secure with being where she is at her age. No wonder then that the dreams she dream are all to do with having a unique and spectacular life, with nothing predictable about it!
