Vineet Kumar Singh, who shot to fame after essaying the role of boxer Shravan Kumar Singh in Anurag Kashyap's 2018 Mukkabaaz, recently revealed the challenges he continues to face in the film industry and shared that despite being a part of the industry for over 23 years, he is still struggling to find consistent work opportunities.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vineet said that he still does not have his own house in the city, which is strange for him as he is working a lot.

"I remember I was doing Dhoka with Mahesh Bhatt Sahab. There was a phase in between when, for a year, I had gone to Banaras. I couldn’t understand why. It had been quite some time, seven or eight years, and nothing significant was happening. We were heading to shoot, I think, in Udaipur. At that time, Alia used to sit in Mahesh Bhatt sir’s because she was very young. Even back then, I was struggling, and I am still struggling today. Alia is a fantastic actor, but when you get an opportunity at the right time, things change for you. I’ve said this before as well," added the actor.

Talking about the nepotism debate, Vineet shared that even though he works with honesty, there are places where he hasn't gotten an opportunity. He claims that Alia Bhatt is fortunate. He added, "She is talented as well and works very hard. I really like Ranbir Kapoor’s work. Whenever I watch Ranbir’s films and find something I like, I personally message him.”

Vineet further continued that as an actor, he has mutual respect as it is not their fault. "There are many people who are really good, but the other needs and challenges in life, you have to face them. If you’ve come from outside, you have to fight those battles. And the people who are making films, the makers or directors, they have their own dreams. They want to work with someone they prefer. I just hope that someday, I am worthy enough for my name to come up in their preferences," concluded the actor.
