Veteran Marathi stage and film actor Vijay Chavan passed away on Friday morning at the age of 63. Following prolonged illness, the renowned Marathi actor took his last breath at Fortis Hospital, Mulund.
Vijay Chavan acted in many Marathi films and plays such as ‘Jatra’, ‘Zapatlela’, ‘Pachadlele’, ‘Mumbaicha Dabewala’, and ‘Shrimanta Damodar Panta’. Notably, his role of Mavshi in popular Marathi play, ‘Moruchi Mavshi’ has always been remembered as one of the iconic characters in the history of Marathi theatre. The actor has worked in over 350 films both Hindi and Marathi.
