Veteran Marathi actor Vijay Chavan passes away at 63

Veteran Marathi stage actor Vijay Chavan passed away on Friday morning at the age of 63. The renowned Marathi actor took his last breath at Fortis Hospital, Mulund.

He was suffering from a prolonged illness. Vijay Chavan was known for his character roles in Marathi films and plays like Jatra’, ‘Zapatlela’, ‘Pachadlele’, ‘Mumbaicha Dabewala’, and ‘Shrimanta Damodar Panta’. However, his most famous role was ‘Mavshi’ from the play ‘Moruchi Mavshi’.

Many celebs like Riteish Deshmukh, Amruta Khanvilkar and others mourn the actor’s demise.

Notably, the actor has worked in over 350 films both Hindi and Marathi.
