Bollywood remembers the late Sridevi on her birth anniversary today. One of the most popular actresses in the Indian film industry has delivered some of the greatest hits of her time. In order to honour the actress, the Bollywood Art Project has constructed an 18-feet tall mural painting of Sridevi on a building wall in Mumbai, which is to be unveiled today.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, this project is being headed by expert Ranjit Dahiya along with skilled artists Kunal Dahiya, Bidisha Biswas, Arushu and Richa. The reference for the painting is Sridevi‘s look from the film Gurudev. The artists worked day and night to have the project completed within the deadline. The inauguration is dependent on the weather now which has suddenly turned unpredictable.
Boney Kapoor opened up the project in an interview with Pinkvilla and stated, “There are heroes and then there are legends, heroes get remembered but legends never die’ Sri lives with us every day.. not a minute goes by when we don’t miss her.. thank u for this honour. Boney, Jahnvi & Khushi.”
Sridevi passed away on the night of February 24, 2018 due to accidental drowning in a tub of a hotel bathroom in Dubai.
