The veteran actor was honoured for his work in Bollywood

In honour of evergreen actor Shashi Kapoor who has etched a permanent place in the hearts of his fans, a hand impression tile was unveiled, which is now a part of the UTV star project.
Along with the 75-year-old actor, his son Kunal Kapoor was also present who thanked everyone and said, “This hand print will symbolize his contribution to the Indian film industry. It’s an honour for me to be able to launch my father’s tile in his presence. He’s been one of the most popular stars of his time and he will be remembered that way.”
The launch was at Prithvi theatre; Mumbai where the CEO of UTV Motion pictures Siddharth Roy Kapoor was present as well. Kunal gratified by the honour his father got, shared about his relationship as he said, “My relationship with him was completely of a father-son. We never saw him as a superstar for anything else and acting was his job.” Talking about his father’s present condition, he also reveals, “He goes for dialysis three days a week and four days at home but he is enjoying his life.”
Some of Shashi Kapoor’s famous films are ‘Aa Gale Lag Jaa’, ‘Prem Kahani’, ‘Deewaar’, ‘Heeralal Pannalal’.
