While Priyanka Chopra’s contemporary in Bollywood Deepika Padukone is set to tie the knot today with long time beau Ranveer Singh at Lake Como, Italy; the former Miss World has picked up an architectural beauty in India itself. According to reports, the desi-firangi couple will exchange vows at the Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel in Jodhpur on December 2.

As for the pre-wedding functions, PC and Nick will kick-start their journey to be man and wife from November 30 wherein a sangeet ceremony will be held at the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur as well. The couple is expected to have a Christian and Hindu wedding, which means Umaid Bhawan will be occupied for two days till December 2.

Best known for its high profile events such as Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar’s wedding reception in 2007, and Naomi Campbell’s lavish birthday bash for ex-boyfriend Vladimir Doronin’s 50th birthday, this red sandstone establishment is an umbrella to other structures such as the Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Sheesha Mahal (Mirror Palace), Sileh Khana, Daulat Khana and the fort’s museum.

Managed by the Taj Group of Hotels, it is situated on Chittar Hill, the highest point in Jodhpur. It consists of 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former Jodhpur royal family. It also holds the title for sixth largest private residence in the world. Umaid Bhawan dons 26 acres of land, including 15 acres of gardens, a throne chamber, a private meeting hall, a Durbar Hall to meet the public, a vaulted banquet hall, private dining halls, a ball room, a library, an indoor swimming pool and spa, a billiards room, four tennis courts, two marble squash courts, and long passages.

As for Priyanka and Nick, if they wish to stay here for a night (for obvious reasons), it would cost them a whopping Rs 229,800 if they reserve a Grand Royal Suite Palace View room. We bet the bride and groom’s families have picked out the best in class for the D-day. While the dates are yet to be confirmed, both PC and Nick recently held their spinster and bachelor night respectively.
