Rani Mukerji trolled for MeToo comment, while Alia, Anushka, Deepika win hearts

The MeToo wave opened a big debate about harassment of women in India. Many women showed the courage and came forward and described the heinous scenarios they encountered. And even in Bollywood many top celebs like Nana patekar, Alok Nath, Vikas Behal and many more where named and shamed in the MeToo movement.

Recently at the actress’ roundtable conference moderated by Rajeev Masand, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt, Tabu, Rani Mukerji, and Tapsee Pannu made an appearance and spoke about issues including the impactful #MeToo movement that shook the industry.

Deepika, Anushka and Alia during the conference were in solidarity with the movement, Rani Mukerji had an opposing viewpoint. She stated that self-defense’ is necessary and so learning martial arts is important and it should become a part of the school schedule. She stated that it is important for girls to learn how to protect themselves.

Deepika opposed this by saying, “but why to even bring it to the point where girls should learn self-defense.” Anushka and Alia also agreed with Deepika.

Rani’s opinion has been ripped apart by the internet.
